Our Wines of the 2010 Vintage
2010 C.A.I. Riesling
The 2010 C.A.I. is expressive showing elegant, tart, and mineral tones. Pure levity (only 10% Vol.) with great fullness of flavour, this long, dense, and refreshing wine embodies the Mosel in its purest form!
Marco Giovanni Zoretti: “…razor sharp, smelling like a wet stone with ’oomph’ and a fistful of minerality…”
Premium Rieslings
The product of the best plots from our 1st class location in Enkirch. Exclusively ungrafted wines at least 60 years old, with a maximum yield of 30hl/ha, these are a selection of the top barrels. Recommended for decanting.
2010 Steffensberg Riesling
A silky wine in between elegance and vibrant freshness. Deep and rich in extract, very spicy. Creamy on the palate, with a long, dry finish. On the nose, subtle notes of yeast, lemon, young pineapple.
2010 Batterieberg Riesling
Pure excitement between all elements – acidic extract, minerality, all in abundance, all demanding, all showing. Very sophisticated, deep, and dry Riesling for slate lovers.
2010 Ellergrub Riesling
Like the previous year, this is the Grande Dame of our single-vineyard wines. Elegant, fine, complex, and expressive. This delicate, finely woven wine pushes itself forward – for fans of subtle pleasures.
2010 Zeppwingert Riesling
The newest addition of the past year sits next to the Batterieberg. Very powerful and compact, with a subtle caramel sweetness behind lots of slate elegance – spicy and deep.
