Rosé has long been more than just a summer wine. With our ROB Pinot Noir Rosé, we wanted to create a wine that embodies exactly that: depth rather than superficiality, structure rather than sweetness, and character rather than sheer fruitiness.
The grapes are 100% Pinot Noir from the Briedeler Herzchen, with a small portion from the Enkircher Monteneubel. The wine’s origin shapes its character just as much as our gentle winemaking process. Fermentation took place spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine was allowed to age sur lie on the full lees. This time on the lees lends it additional complexity, tension, and a remarkable texture.
In the glass, the ROB Rosé deliberately sets itself apart from many rosés. Instead of overt strawberry or candy aromas, structure takes center stage here. The wine is completely dry, profound, and precise. The fruit remains somewhat in the background, making room for subtle spicy nuances, minerality, and an impressive length on the palate.
ROB Rosé is versatile: it can be both a sophisticated dining companion and an easygoing wine for social gatherings. It shows its elegant side with shrimp, fish, or Mediterranean dishes, while at celebrations and on long summer evenings, it impresses with its drinkability, freshness, and character.
What we particularly like about this wine: It evolves. While many rosés are made for immediate enjoyment, the ROB Rosé has the potential to age for several years, gaining additional layers of complexity in the process. Its structure, dry style, and aging on the lees give it a stability that isn’t always found in rosé.
The ROB Pinot Noir Rosé is a wine for anyone who wants to rediscover rosé—far removed from fleeting trends and loud primary fruit flavors. A Pinot Noir rosé with depth and terroir. Sophisticated without being complicated. And at the same time, surprisingly perfect for parties.
A rosé that doesn’t have to be loud to make an impression.
